Just two weeks remain until McCall's Motorworks Revival kicks off the 2016 edition of Monterey Car Week. On Wednesday, August 17th thousands will flock to the Monterey Jet Center for what is sure to be a stunning celebration of all things aviation, automotive and luxury living.

This year marks the 25th anniversary for this must-attend event hosted by Gordon and Molly McCall. "On one hand, it's hard to believe that it's already been 25 years since we first threw this little party," says Gordon McCall, President and CEO of McCall Events. "On the other hand, it's amazing how far we've come since those early days. Molly and I are just extremely thankful for all of the support that we continue to get from our amazing partners year after year."

McCall's Motorworks Revival is known for it's impressive roundup of all things motors, and this year's event is no exception. "This is a rare opportunity to see vintage machines next to their contemporary counterparts," McCall explains. "It's a beautiful showcase of old and new, and the decades of advances in design and technology in between."

The Monterey Jet Center is home to many fine aircraft, but on this one August night guests will be treated to some unique examples. Among them, a pair of WWII-era Douglas DC-3 propeller airliner will grace the tarmac alongside the latest in personal aircraft from the likes of Gulfstream, Honda Jet and Pilatus.

Auto enthusiasts will be pleased to find a lineup of rare and vintage cars mixed in with some of the most technologically advanced vehicles on the planet. Attendees will have the rare opportunity to see multiple examples from Swedish company Koenigsegg, who will be displaying the Agera RS, Regera and CCX at the event.

Race fans will be thrilled to see some powerful examples of Toyota's racing pedigree, including Kyle Busch's 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup winning Camry as well as Del Wosham's and Antron Brown's NHRA Top Fuel Championship Winners. "Toyota is very enthusiastic about its partnership with the 25th anniversary celebration of McCall's Motorworks Revival," says Steve Appelbaum, National Engagement and Marketing Manager of Toyota Motor Sales, USA. "We look forward to showcasing our motorsports-themed display at one of the most exclusive lifestyle events during Monterey Car Week."

At this year's event, Swiss luxury watchmaker Baume & Mercier will launch four limited edition tribute watches to honor four legendary drivers who competed behind the wheel of the Shelby Cobra CSX2128 in the early 1960s. "McCall's Motorworks Revival has enabled us to celebrate our partnership with Shelby Cobra in a luxury environment for both car and watch enthusiasts," comments Fred Martel, President of Baume & Mercier North America. The Capeland Shelby Cobra "Legendary Drivers Edition" chronographs will be available at select retailers in Los Angeles and Las Vegas later this year.

McCall's Motorworks Revival continues to evolve the event, this year adding an emphasis on high-end food, wine and spirits. Chef Tony Baker, executive chef at Monterey's Montrio Bistro, is one of this year's culinary contributors and will be utilizing locally grown ingredients in his creations. "As a chef and automobile enthusiast," Baker commented, "I am very excited to be cooking at what has become the must-attend event of car week."
Several boutique wineries from Monterey, Napa and Sonoma counties will be pouring their small-lot wines for those in attendance. One of the participating wineries is Ram's Gate Winery, whose founding partner Peter Mullin also serves as CEO of the renowned Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. "On behalf of the entire Ram's Gate Winery team, we are pleased to be a part of the 25th Anniversary of McCall's Motorworks Revival," Mullin says.
