Damn, I poked around Craigslist today and there's some great deals on Mazda5's. Too bad they're all automatics...I used to be ambivalent about slushboxes, but after owning the SVT Focus, I really REALLY want to row my own gears again...such a shame column shift has gone out of style though.

i wouldn't imagine an E30 being costly to run, especially in the states?
Maybe not an E30 (I don't really know), but I'm a fan of E46's and their parts are, shall we say, pricier.
They also tend to last longer than average, if looked after.
