I know I have probably said this before (I have) but I think white is the most horrible, ugly color you can get for your car. It is to generic and makes everything you drive look like a company car. It looks especially bad on German and Italian cars.

I think white looks very good on most classic cars through to the early 60's. It had a very formal, refined look on these machines.

However, on newer cars, I agree it has that rental car cheap look to it, it's just too stark and generic. Pearlescent whites are nice though.

For me, a white 911 GT3 just sums up the appeal of white on a car, cant think of anything else that looks that good in white, plenty of close runners though. There is still a smallish smattering of cars in public that are white, just the other day saw the old SLK in white.

All the people who caught Top Gear today will have seen the awesomely cool Exige S.... but also will have noticed even the big man JC and his team gave the thumbs up to the colour white! Hammond, as ever, pointed out that a 911 in white is simply superb. Well done boys, now how about some pictures on your site of the Exige!!!

The Lotus Exige S in TopGear really was a great car, the colour really goe's on it. But even in an other colour, awsome car. Did like this episode, espacially with their amphi cars.
