just the perfect lap... i had another second in me but i was getting so frustrated and it is a little harder to modulate the throttle and the braking on my PS1 controller (broke my ps2 controller and have been too lazy to get another one)...

I probably scrubbed off too much time under braking, over that much distance and that many turns I suppose 6 seconds could be gained there.

Just curious- do you all use a controller or a wheel? I got the $150 wheel its so much more fun, but I know I'm faster with a controller.

    1'42!!!!

Are you being serious? Congrats to you if you are, but if you get back down to that time again you better have your camera at the ready as there may be a few cries of foul play!

I'd say that hitting the walls is allowed within reason. Treat it as though it were one of the license tests. The odd little scrape against the wall is permissable, but if you really give the wall a clout then abandon the lap.

I guess there's no way to prove how clean a person's lap is (short of videotaping the replay or something), so I guess it's all down to our good sportsmanship! Besides, if you deliberately cheated to win then you know you'd just be a d!ck anyway, so hopefully conscience will prevail!

If you're constantly hitting the wall your time won't be good anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Yeah but there is that point at the end of the straight that goes through the archways/castley bits, before the tight twisty bits start. Technically you could just not bother braking and hammer into the wall at the bottom and carry on, which would probably gain you a second or two. So please don't do that people!

So was that 1'45 the mini or a badly driven F1 car. Its hard to tell from your description.

i can only get it down to 1'48. It feels like it could go faster but it keeps sliding around and crashing.

i hate this car is has absolutely no "GO" from 0-4500 rpm!!! you have to keep the revs high around slow corners or you will die
