that car looks really good for its age. I was looking for an older(82-88) 3 series to modify and use as a track day/weekend car in addition to my '01 330Ci which is an everyday car. but my dad said he's not going to buy me another car yet, well until I finish high school but we're also running out of space on our driveway too.

i was wondering...which interior options does your car have, which differential is on it, and what are the specs on the motor...

At the moment it has just the stock standard interior, howeverme and my dad have managed to track down a full recaro interior in light grey wich we should be picking up next week some time for around $700. The car only has the standard open diff, and locating a limited slip type one is very difficult and VERY expensive here in Australia. The wheels are standard type for the earlier (steel bumper bar type) E30's. I bought the car with a few goodies already attached these include an extractors back exhaust system (however i will probably change from the big oval exit to a twin round pipe exit) and bilstein shockies.

    The specs for the car:
    Max. output - 138.9 PS (137.0 bhp) (102.2 kW) @ 5300 rpmMax.
    torque - 205.0 Nm (151 lbft) (20.9 kgm) @ 4000 rpm
    0-100km/h - 8.80s
    0-100mph - 25.20s

Below are some more pics of the car and the new strut brace I just put on.

    cool stuff...

i was gonna ask why it looks so different under the hood...but then i realized; its RHD! so extra cool-points for that...
also, do you know why your battery is in the front and not in the back trunk? im not sure if it has to do with it being RHD or it being an earlier model...

sad you dont have the LSD...but overall it should be quite a fun first car ...my first car was just an automatic with the 121hp 2.7L eta

I am not sure why the battery is in the front but i suspect it is because the car is one of the first E30's.

Me and my dad are also biulding an e30 race car it is a 323 as well, however we are putting in a 325i head with a bit of work done to it with an eta 2.7 bottom end with custom built high compression pistons and a few other little things. we have converted thr car to a 5 stud design using E46 bits. the rollcage is getting built now. I will post some pics tonaight as i am at school now.

Dude, I salute you. My car that I am getting after my driving license is got is also on my driveway, but it's a Lupo.

It looks surprisingly nice in white, maybe lowered by 3cm or so, and your dad's M3 is hot. E46 wheels, right? You should get the rear 19" ones on there

the standard springs are at the spring works now getting compresed by 30 mm at the front and 25mm at the rear. the fronts are also getting made variable rate for a stiff yet compliant ride when cruising and a hard and sharp handling ride when kaining through some twisty's.
