The GT4 Challenge: Round 13

I had never played PS2 much....I have GT3 but never played it so I was a rookie until GT4 came out and I've played it a lot. Used to use the auto but soon you learn you get a few extra revs from the engine using manual so it's quicker...and more control entering and exiting turns.

I always use manual, but the only real advantage you get from it with most cars is engine breaking, but on cars with bad brakes this make a huge difference.

until this week i only did it auto... so all the challenges before have been done in auto but i started playing around with it in manual to see what extra time i could get out of my lap times...

I still don't have going across the hill perfected...I think I'm losing a few tenths there...the rest of the course I feel good about.

Is anyone using first gear anywhere? I'm not.

nah no need for 1st gear... the hairpin at the bottom of the hill after the long sweeping left half way around the track is the only time it may come into use... but 2nd is good enough...

Yeah, I tried first there a couple times, didn't gain anything so I just carry as much momentum as I dare through that complex in second gear.

I'm not having any problem with the turns after the tunnel. Jus tseems so natural to slide the car around the downhill.

I dont want to say this but, unfortunately, I may have to stop the Challenge. So far I've only gotten 3 time in (including mine). So if the comp doesnt come up in the next few days, youll know why. It's been fun.

well I may get around to doing that. But I've been pretty busy lately. so if you want the comp to go on we need avolunteer to run the thing.
