    New driver.. need opinions.

I recently recieved a 1983 Nissan Kingcab and it hasn't been run in about a year.. it worked fine since we last started it.. though the rubber on the clutch pedal is a bit worn off and it's slipping. I know I can just buy a new clutch lever and adjust it.. but, I was wondering.. are there any other checks or things I could do to fine tune it? Thanks.

Is the clutch slipping or is your foot slipping off the clutch pedal?
And the rubber cover on old pedals can be replaced about as easily as you change your socks. Just go to junkyard and buy another one.
