    Jumping My Car

Car might've ran out of battery. the dash lights and radio/cassette player all work normally, but it sounds like the motor isn't getting enough juice to crank the starter and send voltage to the coil at the same time. This happened this morning, and I was able to start it up and let the alternator over, but now I won't even be able to get to that point.

Now here's the problem, I don't know how to jump my car from anothers. Any idea how?

Just hook up positive to positive, and negative to negative?

Clean off the terminals, then go positive to positive, negative to negative. It might help to run the car that you jump from too, so that there's no risk of draining its battery.

Don't do it the other way around - a guy back in my old shop class ended up with the nickname "Sparky" because of a certain incident

Hook up the both side on the good car, start it, then hool up the positive on the dead car and ground the black cableon the block or frame , it's less likely to blow the battery up that way.

    UPDATE!!!

Actually, it wasn't an electrical problem. The head gasket on the rear bank of the 3.8L V6 ford taurus GL popped, and sent fluid over the spark plugs. I'm trashing the car and looking at Eclipse GS-Ts.
