Seriously, it looks like a Lexus Hatchback with the hard surfacing, save for the darth vader mask.

    urgh.
i would have thought the Shooting Brake Concept was closer to the next A3...

Shooting Brake Concept would have been a precursor to the new Audi TT, which is due this year.

they won't go changing the shape of the TT too much come the next model, and to change the next TT to something that looked like the Shooting Brake Concept would be a travesty.

about the only thing that the Shooting Brake will have in concept with the next TT will be the grille...

No, they won't cnage the shape of the coupe TT that much, but the Shooting brake is probably the estate version of the next gen TT.

With Mercedes, BMW and Porsche all making coupe-wagonites of roadsters, the Shooting brake is a real production possiblity.

Although there should really be a TT coupe and a roadster. I think the best thing Audi can do is not to abandon the previous work, but not to go soft and merely facelift it. The SB does actually look good.

i agree with you there, the SB looked good but i reckon it has a lot more to do with the new A3 which comes out next year (i think) , whereas the new TT will have to retain the design proportions of the current one, otherwise it won't be able to retain the iconic status which it achieved with the current shape...

Audi has already confirmed that the Shooting Brake is a precursor to the TT and that there's a strong possibility that the extended hatch version will be a 3rd body shape, alongside the coupe and convertible.

I was also assuming that the RoadJet is a precursor to the next A3/S3.
I'm going to eat breakfast. And then I'm going to change the world.
