    Looking for the new world

    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

I'm considered getting one on my upper back or shoulder blade in memory of Dill. Maybe a simple black outline of the silhouette or maybe even a pickle.
I'm going to eat breakfast. And then I'm going to change the world.

Don't do it. Getting tattoos was quite popular when I was at that age too and I'm grateful that I didn't get one. Think of it this way, do you still think the same things are cool as you thought was cool 10 years ago? 5 years? 1? Last week? How often do you change your desktop background? Avatar (ok, you havn't IIRC)? etc...

I think you just have to be very careful about what you do get. For instance, I'll never think Dill wasn't cool or won't want to remember Dill. Nopassn has the mascot to his university on his arm. Again, that will always be important to him.

you have considered or are you still considering. I hope the first is the case, and you put the thought behind you. No need to mutilate the human skin in memory of a car, or whatever.

then don't. You can be certain that a BMW CS will rust away, while a tattoo never will

Agreed. If there is something of major personal importance one don't need to ask others for opinion. If there is doubt, I'd go with no. That's why I'm still unpainted.

a tattoo is meant to show a point in your life that meant something to you. you dont have to like it. its there to remind you where you have been.
