Well I have had a pretty successful day today searching for Alfa sprint parts on the net.

On the steel wheels front - I have two got (well you have to start somewhere) and I have also got 4 chrome centre caps with badges and a gear lever gaiter and a haynes worksop manual for a sprint.
(I want to use the steel wheels for shows etc and use my Alloys for everyday stuff ( afraid the very rare centre caps on the steel wheels could be stolen)

Scrap yards - who needs them now in this sea of abundance on the intraweb.

Still looking for original sprint steering wheel and 16 chrome wheelnut caps + two steel wheels like in this pic if anyone know of any lying about.

Thease are the like Cromodora alloys I will be putting on it for everyday use.

I thought I could simply switch these alloys from my Alfasud 1.3Ti (below) but they were 13’s and the Sprint needs 14’s
Still I will be able to use the tyres from these alloys on the Sprint’s steel wheels when I get them (the steelies are also 13’s)
I am replacing the alloys on my Alfasud with teledial speedlines (actually the same wheels as on the sprint I bought.)
Hope this does not confuse you – perhaps I should draw a diagram.

Amazing little project you've got there! In all honesty, I'm more impressed with the dedication and work people put into cars like these than a rich guy with a garage full of Lambos.

Best of luck finding those Sprint parts, sounds like a difficult task.

I've always liked Alfasuds and especially the sexy little Sprint - imo a great choice for enthusiasts wanting a budget classic

I know a bloke who took a risk on a near-new Alfasud TI which, despite the reputation, gave him 9 years of enjoyable motoring. His son later owned two Suds (base 1200 & then a TI) which also proved suprisingly trusty & dependable, plus of course a gas to drive with their fantastic go-kart dynamics and rev-happy engine

    Good luck with your Alfa

hope you like the pics of this sensational V8 Sprint (mid-mount 304cid) one of only 15 produced in Oz before the company sadly folded. They were designed by (ex-F1 designer) Barry Locke. This particular one was souped up for a genuine 1000+ rwhp
