    So i bought a Citroen

Ok people. I have bought a Citroen Saxo so that i can drive it untill the Luego is finished. My driving instructor told me i should be doing as much driving as i can outside of my lessons, but nothing we own can be insured reasonably for me. Hence the Saxo.
Its a 1.0i T reg thats was born in 1999 i think. It has done 54,000ish miles and cost £990 (the extra 90 was for the years road tax it had on it). Its in great condition and the interior is immaculate! Picked it up last night.
On the way home we also passed another red T reg Saxo with L plates on it, how spooky.

It's a nice purchase. A nice first car.
54,000 miles, it's just been run in
Look after it and PLEASE, no body kits
I'd probably colour code the bumpers, but since it's a learner car it may be better to leave it as it is.

Thanks everyone, i will probably only run it untill the summer. I hope to have the Luego finished by then. That means it will stay totally stock, i want to spend as little money as i can on it so that i have plenty of money to keep the Luego running.

Nice buy dude, Ive seen cars a lot worse for similar money, hope it serves you well!

But what is it with driving instructors saying you should drive more outside of lessons? Surely thats their job. Im hearing that quite a lot nowadays, even though my instructor didnt say I should, and my friends too, I passed just over 2 years ago...

It sure is for a 1.0. If I had to live with a 1.0 car of that age, I'd most certainly be buying a Saxo. It's cheap to maintain, it's light and simple, looks good enough and, surprisingly, it's very fun to drive. Wich is unusual in this kind of car.

That's a really good price for that!

Wish I'd spent my money on getting a car now guitars don't take girls on dates...

Won't the 3500 mile restriction be a little... restricting?

I will maybe only use it on weekends. I am in walking distance of my school and some of my friends, and i enjoy riding my bike. So i will maybe drive 100-150 miles a month?

Are you going to ride a guitar with a girl to a resturant?? That seems highly unlikely.
