If it's old copies you're interested in, I suggest checking used book stores like Half Price Books. Sometimes people will drop off entire collections of magazines and you get some real finds. CAR is a good magazine, I've picked up a couple of issues...

i've bought some on ebay, i'll give you a list of car magazine issues i've bought for £1.99 each

i don't agree. they are both similar in that they have amazing photography but the focus of each is very different.
EVO tends to concentrate on performance cars and is more dedicated to trackdays, handling tests and tuning
CAR is more lifestyle and i believe better for it. It covers all aspects of motoring and runs amazing features. I alos prefer the editorials in car to those in EVO
however i buy both because it gives me a rounded opinion on the latest in motoring.
oh and both are aimed at adults, as opposed to Top Gear which, IMO, has gone steadily downhill and is now just a jizz mag for cars.

i've been buying them since last year; very expensive as for polish standarts but it's a good mag
it's one of only two magazines i'm buying, the other one is french automobiles classiques

i was looking for CAR today at my local petrol (or gas) station but they didn't have it. i get it every month and it's significantly better, in my opinion, than EVO and Top Gear - it's main competitors

I buy 3 car mags:
Auto Motor und Sport (the reference)
Autogids (best Belgian car mag)
CAR (for the beautiful photography and the great stories)
The thing about CAR is that they don't really rant on about specs and stats but they really try and tell a story about the car they tested.
Only downside to CAR is that it's ridiculously expensive.
