    Buried Volvo Treasure Hunt?

Anyone heard of this? I'm going to the Volvo dealer near me to get a map and start on the puzzles...I'll give updates but no clues while I solved them. Anyone else want to join in?

    Great marketing campaign. Excellent idea.

it would be pretty funny if it turned out to buried in the park several blocks away from my house. If i found the car, i would strip off that ugly riced hood and swap on a new one.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

They bury Volvos now? That's how they sell them?

"Right over here sir, watch your step milady, well then, right here under sixteen feet of clay we have a gorgeous V60, and that mound of loosely packed dirt covers a nice cabriolet we buried just yesterday. Oh, boy. If you two fine people had just seen the new pearlescent paint as we pushed it over the edge and into the gaping maw of dear mother earth. I'm sure you would have bought it on the spot. What's that, sir? You would like to take a look at the V60? Very good sir, I'll have my assistant bring you and the Missus some shovels."

Well, they're obviously hoping for some sort of "zombie" halo effect. Or maybe they're trying to get the Bible-bashers interested- "On the third day, the beautiful C70 rose from the Earth"

There's an idea; a zombie-car movie. Like Maximum Overdrive, but much, much more hardcore.

I hope the guy who buried it gets some of his friends to dig the car up without telling Volvo.

There's an ad in the UK for it, shows you them burying it in a container in the dark..

The Volvo they have buried looks pretty damn good. Black with some form of tiger decal and big black wheels..

I'm pretty sure Volvo are keeping tabs on the location
The black wheels do look very nice, but the Pirates of the Carribean decals will have to go.
Reminds me, I need to go to the Volvo dealership

yup, that looks v.tempting. I've just read Volvo are releasing a £54k XC90 with a V8 engine in it. Volvo claims it dissapointed the buyrs of the old XC90 by not making it expensive enough!
    The 4.4 V8 has 310bhp at 5850rpm and 324 lb.ft at 3900rpm, good for 0-60 in 6.9 and onto 130mph. You'll get a mpg figure of 20.9
