I did a brief stint eBaying a few cars. I have a knack for making a piece of shit look attractive with patter, so I managed to sell 3 junkboxes. Got a cut of it too

I sold used cars for a friend of my father one summer. I wasn't very good at it, but I got to drive some cool rides

I did for about three weeks at a used car lot. When I didn't sell a single vehicle, I got the hint and moved on to other things.

Well, next year, I should be working as an apprentice at Classic BMW. I actually would like to be a salesmen. I doubt I'd ever get to own all my favorite cars, so hopefully working under a worker will give me some experience.

I did it as a summer job once... I kinda got the people interested and then the owner of the shop would finish the deal... Great fun i must say,but after a while it got boring as you can guess. he had 2nd hand cars and a Lada-dealership

Quattro, how long did it take you to get where you are now?
I mean, how many schools/classes or that did you have to go through?

And btw, does having any knowledge about the car's performance like engine, suspension, the real tech stuff help when selling the cars? I'm curious since I've heard the consumers don't really care about all the detailed info, and would rather know about the money/payment side of it.
