    Always had faith in Kimi

Kimi is the rightful heir to the throne!

I've always said it and I always knew it...no more mcmeltdowns, no more wings flying off at speed, crazy montoya isn't running into people at the end of tunnels (except in nascar), etc. etc.

Give Kimi a dependable car (ferrari) and nothing will stop him...always said it and always knew it

I hope I'm wrong about this, but I heard Kimi isn't the best person when it comes to technical feedback.

The Ferrari's good at the moment yes, but I have a sneaky suspicion that as the season is going to progress, the Ferrari of Kimi's going to fall back.

As I say though, hope I'm wrong.

Those rumours have pretty much been trashed by the engineers at Ferrari, including Räikkönen's race engineer Chris Dyer.

Of course. But I think that the whole "Kimi can't give feedback of the car" rant is due to him being somewhat quiet unlike his predecessor.

And if he couldn't test, isn't Felipe in the team to do that so that Kimi always get's a fast car?

I am sure that Massa will get the fast car.....he is the better driver

Besides a silent Finn with problems expressing dissatisfaction would be unheard of now wouldn't it.

Come on, you can tell better jokes than that.

I always seem to be less convincing when I am serious.

I'm surprised McLaren finished 2nd and 3rd given Kimi's past experience with them.

Well, as like every year, when a team wins the first race everyone tries to be as fast as them, but the faster team uses their own data collected and just makes themselves faster...we should see evening out at around the fourth race, but I highly doubt it because Kimi is always consistant as well as Ferrari (perfect combination)

It is interesting that it was always the Ferrari/Schumacher fans claiming Kimi wasn't fast, it was the car, and that he was a car breaker etc, etc.

Now he's a winner for Ferrari, he's their golden boy.

    Honda did horribly, especially Button.
Ferrari were always gonna be the fastest and will be until McLaren get used to Bridgestone tyres. I do, however, hope Raikkonen fails miserably however good a driver he is and however much i liked him. The reason? Him and Massa stand between McLaren and a drivers championship.

Driver of the day? Lewis Hamilton, that boy's amazing and only didn't get 2nd place because Sato didn't get his Super Aguri-drivin ass out of the way. Even Alonso admitted that he was lucky. I'm rooting for Lewis Hamilton - obviously - and hope McLaren get both championships.

Also, did anyone see Ron Dennis afterwards? He was holding back the tears and when asked if he was proud he replied with "you could say that." That just makes him even more of a geezer in my eyes, well done McLaren

I watched the race and I was very glad to see Kimi take the win. A real nice first race for him.

I have to agree with .M.'s assesment. I think Kimi is the fastest out there and he rightfully deserves his shot at the WDC with a competent car. I'm a little confused by your comparisson of Kimi to Michael and Michael to Ayrton though... Can you clear that up?
