:/ dont know where i pulled that from, mustve had a brain fart as i knew it had 6...

Mock the japanese all you want, the newest generation supra is expected to pull 400-450HP from a 4.5L V8. The R36 GTR is expected to beat down most of europes cars so whatever, Hondas repalcement NSX is also something to look forward to.

Good on GM for investing in an almost dead market segment.

Yes the 2013 R36 will be awsome!

How can someone feel so strongly about a subject which they know little of?

The fact that you have over 8000 post makes UPC less cool

oh, and by the way, NA Supras have less hp/L than the motor in question

The japanese cant seem to get a high hp motor without the use of turbos, afterall how many super exotic japanese cars do you see? Heck Nissan even had trouble extracting 450hp from a twin turbocharged GTR (upcoming).

I thought that, but didn't say anything because I thought that maybe you were talking about the 'new' or 'concept' version - which has a V10.

Where did you pull that nugget from? I'm assuming your arse because:

    1) It's a load of bull, 450hp was an easy target for the old 3.6ltr V6, and it's a new design 3.8ltr
    2) Cosworth have been developing the GTR engine

I didn't mean to sound so 'degrading', I just figured that a very respected member like Blue Supra would know that that arguement is not a good one. Also what makes you think that this engine is crap? We hardly know anything to determine one way or the other and people are already writing it off.

Forum n00bs getting personal with well established members makes UCP "less cool".

Note that it is UCP, not UPC.

Thats the V12 I alluded to in post #27

    http://toyota.jp/century/index.html

Full-on luxury and then some. Surprisingly expensive (exported @ USD$118,000!) but speaking personally I don't mind them. Not pretending to be anything its not, of beautiful quality and laden with gadgets and buttons galore! There's an older model black Century V8 parked on the front lawn of a house near me, would make a great cruiser. Its been sitting there for years, a sad fate for what is a rare & interesting car here (its the ex-Jap Ambassador's limo)

It wasnt my intention to incinuate this engine would be crap, if i'd have to describe it based on what is known, i'd say it'd be a decent enough engine but still nothing groundbreaking.
