Yes, I was doubtful, but I have seen the light. Fitment is excellent.

That's the problem with marketing claptrap... it always comes back to bite you in your ass.

That sounds suspiciously-similar to the way that the 911 handles...

yup.. not much interest in the new GT3 now for me personally.
incidentally VW's Up GT thing they are releasing soon is probably the most appealing new car around at the moment imo, since as an owner of an original mini the VW Up is the closest thing to a modern interpretation.

this is what the car looked like mid last year; the livery was faded, paint pretty tired and the logo out of date.
the livery came off and the car was driven in plain white for a while. unfortunately the paint was still pretty crappy and some had come off with the livery no matter how carefully it was removed.
ended up parking it down in my shed and removing all the bumpers and panels for a refresh.

using some $5 worth of vinyl i re-skinned the door cards from the old poo brown.
the stock bumpers are several mil thick of solid metal and weigh a lot - replaced them with fibreglass items to shave some weight off.
also removed the fuel tank to give it a clean and repaint and refit (also cleaned the liggage compartment).

ceramic coated the exhaust, and stripped and painted the interior and re-assembled it.
all the panels being easy to remove made it quite simple to paint them separately off the car and re-fit them individually.
