I didn't even notice that. OMFG I want that as my license plate to read "1"

He came dancing across the water
With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls
haha you gotta wonder how he managed that...i guess if you got the money to buy that car, you got the money to buy that plate out
omg its hideous. If you're gonna screw up a Veyron at least screw it up with a sense of pride and dignity. Lime green and purple would have been the way to go...
from everything i've seen, its 1001 ps which is about 987 hp. the logo on the door looks stupid.
From e46fanatics.com via autoblog (from user Zeyad):
Snap.and with regard to the thing about license plates...having a lower number does not necessarily make you "closer to sheikh mohammed" it's a bit more complicated than that. you can buy 2 digit plates...but not single digit plates. those all belong to sheikhs. the owner of this veyron, however, is an exception...he apparently offered 55 million dirhams for the plates C 1 - 12 to all the emirates, and the only emirate which accepted the offer was fujairah. hence the plate fujairah, C 1. and he is not a sheikh...he is a wealthy russian man who lives in burj al arab (the 7 star hotel) and has - in my opinion - the best car collection on earth.
Koenigsegg CCX > that crap
Like others say, i thought it was about 987 hp never over 1000.
I love the veyron, but stating numbers from looking at a car just becouse it has a different logo on the side is strange. still i noticed a different venturi or is it like the "original"?

Don't worry chaps, there's another FAIL.
They couldn't be more wrong on this. Pegaso wasn't a coahcbuilder, it was a truck and (briefly) sportscar maker. They didn't work with Alfa Romeo or Ferrari (or anyone for that matter) in the 50's, Wifredo Ricart chief of the Pegaso project did work in Alfa Romeo together with Enzo Ferrari in the 30's.Pegaso comes from the name of a Spanish coachbuilder that worked with Alfa Romeo and Ferrari during the 1950's. Pegaso used to build luxury cars.
Furthermore I want to vomit on who decided to use the Pegaso name for such an awful car.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
reminds of the fool that insisted veyronzz had 3000hp.

I don't remember where I read it, but someone interviewed one of the engineers for the engine and the guy said that 987 horsepower is the power it will make in cold/high altitude environments. But it will make closer to 1100 in warmer/lower altitude environments.
