too bad, also hows the cooling of the car? Any upgrades to the radiator, or front end to help aid cooling?

Actually yes upgraded radiator. How did you know?

I know someone who tracks their GTS, did alot of engine work to it so its around 660 hp, upgraded brakes, brake force bias... and he always was harping on how he could not keep the engine cool.
Eventually he got a new front with larger openings, and a much larger radiator. No problems since.

Nice! I like them things. If my tall ass would have fit in one, I would have picked up a second gen when I blew the motor in the Mustang.

Love the Viper, simplistic and best modern muscle car IMO. Love the engine too, real mean sounding. You're lucky. How many Vipers have you owned now? I am sure that the Viper will be back from its current hiatus, most likely when the economy picks back up and they get the fuel economy thing sorted out (like when muscle cars died in the '70s and then were revived in the '90s and '00s)
I wouldn't call the Viper a muscle car - even a modern one. It's a sports car - just more brutish than the Europeans.
A modern muscle car (or pony car, whatever you want to call it) would be something like the Challenger or Camaro.
Fair enough, I see your point. Muscle cars are more big engine in sort of ordinary car bodies (at least originally) whereas the Viper is more purpose-built. The new ones perform better on the track from what I understand which is also more sports car-like than the muscle cars who do better at the drag strip.I wouldn't call the Viper a muscle car - even a modern one. I would say the viper can do well at the drag as well.
