The OM Tigrotto is a medium-light truck that was produced by Officine Meccaniche (OM) from 1957 to 1972. It was launched on the market to fill the gap existing in the OM range between the light and highly successful Leoncino and the medium-sized vehicle called Tigre.
OM decided in 1957 to expand its range of trucks with "zoological" names with the Tigrotto. The Little Tiger was very similar to the Little Lion, but was longer and more robust, designed for more demanding tasks. This was produced in 4 series, also as a fire truck, camper and chassis.
In the series of OM models recalling zoology there are trucks with a full load weight ranging from 3 to 8 tonnes. The Tigrotto therefore placed at the top, with a GVM between 7.5 and 10 t and a payload between 5 and 6.5 t. It was replaced by the OM 80 - 90 - 100.
