We are counting down the days until the historic racing season kicks off again. Among the highlights coming up is the Monaco Historic Grand Prix and to get you in the mood early, we have taken a look at two early Grand Prix cars that starred during the 2022 edition. The first is this unique 6CM, which was sold new to a German gentleman racer. He raced the car several times and it then moved to France where it was rebooted in the style of a 4CL. Still in highly original condition, chassis 1548 was raced at Monaco by a Dutch owner.
Competing in the same group was this MG Magnette K3. Originally earmarked for an Italian customer, it was the last K3 built. It was sold instead to the White Mouse racing team for Prince Bira to race. After he was done with the MG, it was sold to Australia where it has remained ever since. Having had just two owners since 1958, its most recent custodian brought K3030 over from Australia to Monaco in 2022.
Alpine released images of a camouflaged version of the A290 seen testing in Sweden. The all-electric hot hatchback is and addition to the line-up and based on the upcoming Renault 5 and will be revealed in earnest in June. Due to break cover during the same period will be the Hispano Suiza Sagrera. For now, the Spanish manufacturer only showed details of the supercar currently under development and some technical details.
