Interesting engine swaps(Fiction or non Fiction doesnt matter)

I am definitely not one of those people who thinks that a car is a sacred object (like the annoying ones who say that modifying a Ferrari is blasphemy, etc).

All that said, a 20B would be a pretty sweet swap. I'm all in favour of dumping different engines into the Elise. (Hell, take a look at my public profile!)

Or people who think an owners bad because they get their car a little dirty (Lambo dirt ring thread anyone? )

Loads of different engines have been put into the Elise but I still think the 1.8 K-series is still the best .. the Honda VTEC engines dont compare to supercharging it though (which is cheaper, makes it faster, makes it torquer than the VTEC and much lighter). I never thought of putting a 20B in one and it seems like a not too bad idea even though any engine swaps are likely to ruin the balance of the car .. it might just work though. Ill post around some forums (SELOC etc) to see if anyones tried it.

Ive always wondered what would happen if you put a couple of motorbike engines in the Elise .. anyone know if its been tried? Anyone know if its possible (ill get my friend to try it on his Exige when he gets it soon )

ive been planning to make a S5 RX-7 that can be a race ready road car, when im a bit older, i love the rotary engine, and know i love the 240z's body! so how do you guys recon it would go?

How about a Nissan 350Z with the Titan's 5.6 Liter V-8 and a Supercharger and keep the six speed transmission? THAT would be a Corvette killer, for sure.

so far its only been big engines in small cars ... well i figure .... small engine in big car is just as stupid, anyone have an example?

like a 450 cc or 650 cc bike engine on any car bigger then an audi a4 is pretty dumb

Actually, I've heard of guys putting Harley engines in Volkswagon Beetles. But, the Harley engine had more power than the Beetle engines.
