I know about The Dead Kennedys but haven't heard any song from them I need to download some, but don't know which ones.

Vandals, AAA and Voodoo Glowskulls are awesome, I have CDs of all of them.

Went to the WarpedTour this year and saw The Vandals live, damn they are GOOD, loved their show

NONE of the modern bands are 'punk'.

Most because they're part of or running profitable record companies.

Secondly because they're poor copies of the originals.
You can't have second generation 'punk' or it isn't 'punk' !!

Sex Pistols, Clash, Damned, Buzzcocks and even more the hundreds of others who played the bars and clubs and joined in the fighting.

The NY scene with Ramones, Blondie, and Talking Heads were all just a little more polished and less "in yer face".

Some people who are into the (real) punk music scene still can't get into the Dead Kennedys as their style changed from album to album. They were at times very political, and at other times almost nonsensical(sp).

I'll give you a short list of my favourites (some because of their message, others because they sound supremely righteous blasted out of my car while Joe Ricer listens to some techno crap, - no offense intended for UCP members who listen to techno-crap )
