hmmm, don't think wheelbase gona be a problem if a Skyline is to join WRC...just look at the car Petter Solberg won WRC in last year, a HELLISH (pardon the word) big Subaru Impresa, the biggest wheelbase in WRC, prob. the heaviest car aswell (well..Mitsubitshi's might be heavier) the thing is, the Subaru is slow on straights, but in turns, the Subaru has no equal, that even goes for this years model, and it's been improved on the straights aswell....the biggest problem with the new Subaru is that it can't drive threw water pool's...it breaks apart.
i belive that a Skyline can do some SERIOUS competition in WRC. and if possible with a great driver (like Petter Solberg, or he's brother Henning).
Skylines would have a GREAT turn speed, like the Subaru, and the speed on straights would have no equal i belive.
If Nissan / Nismo (Nissan motor divison) is making this car, i say GO FOR IT !
Nismo aint that bad, they have a Skyline capable of 0-300 KM/h in under 11 sek's,
Skyline has been banned from most of the racing leagues, because it's just to much car, it's too good for it's own good.
and just a kick ass family car.
If i get a Skyline or 2, i might convert one to station wagon like the Volvo 850 that competed in BTCC some years ago.
it would rock i think :-)
Get your facts straight.
Not really, that would be the crapiest thing ever.Originally Posted by Fritz

WRC is limited to two litre 4 cylinder cars. Skyline will not qualify.

The first Skyline that raced in england (BTCC) did not have the engine the Skyline has. it had a less powerfull engine from the earlyer models.
i belive that they can do this to an WRC Skyline aswell....

Impreza P1 specs: http://www.fantasycars.com/derek/cars/impreza.html
since the Subaru Impresa P1 seems to have been build.
the P1 is as u know a car build in limited edition to celebrate Petters win.
i do belive that a "light" skyline is possible to build, and compete at the WRC.
im too lazy to make up complex arguments intricately planned to make a skyline fan boy fall into his own pool of lies, therefore
fritz you are a complete idiot

I don't think the Skyline raced in the WRC, but the Porsche 959 actually did rallying.
