Derek is right. I am just wondering whether I was the UCP'er who sent that badge. I took a perfect picture of it during last Retromobile , and I already forgot about it.

Yeah I agree with henk4. Vanderbilt Cup was won more than once by three companies: Darracq (I tried this one because I was mislead by that french name), Peugeot (I think this is out of the question or we are going to be very surprised ) and ALCO.

The company diversified into the automobile business in 1906, producing French Berliet designs under license. Two years later, the Berliet license was abandoned, and the company began to produce its own designs instead. ALCO cars won the Vanderbilt Cup in both 1908 and 1910, but they had less success in sales, abandoning automobile manufacture in 1913. The ALCO automobile story is chiefly notable for starting the automobile career of Walter P. Chrysler, the plant manager, who left for Buick in 1911 and subsequently founded the Chrysler automobile giant.
And Pieter SHOULD have got this, because if you look close I think you can see him in the original holding the camera and WHO could that be in full shot reflection ???? Also a good demonstration of why photographs of badges are not always a good idea and the "reprographic" version is preferred by me.
