acabion. i think thats a good contender. its on the site, its a brand name, but theres only one car.
I think the Veyron is the fastest I've seen for a "production" car. Some of the kit or semi-kit production cars such as the Selby thing might be faster. Plenty of modified cars would be faster yet still street legal. MT tested a Lingenfelter Corvette that did 0-60 in under 2 seconds and the 1/4 in under 10. Of course it used DOT legal cheater slicks (DOT legal but you wouldn't want to drive on them) and was far from stock.

Heard about the Caterham Levante pulling at 2.5. But it's even lower production than the Veyron.
Geo Metro. It's the fastest....
Definitely my Mitsubishi Sigma.
I think you are seriously underestimating the speed of a 97 Camry stationwagon.
EDIT: in Beige-like burgundy.

"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
a buddy of mine had a 1981 or 2 nissan stanza estate diesel, in beige, and i think with wood paneling. it was truely awful, and dint accelerate at all. but it did have a cool trick, where you could put it in neutral, floor the gas, and it would dump out plumes of thick black smoke.
