It's nice and a good collor combination
Beautifull project friend..keep us posted here. Is it a little BMW in the background there??
I'm just an oldhustler trapped in a hotrodders world
I have been doing so much with so little for so long I can do anything with nothing.
Fiberglass is traditional.From Malmesbury,South Africa
Yes it is!
It is a BMW Isetta from '59
Here it is in better days
I was thinking for a driveaxle concept. Originally the 600 has a very weak drive axle. It is possible to buy stronger driveaxles. The costs of these are 1600+ euros.
This can be cheaper! I was thinking of custom made gearbox flanges that will fit on VW T3 axles/cv-joints. I made a first drawing of this concept. Important things for the fabrication:
-aluminium axleflange and mounting flange
-High quality hardened steel axle
-tolerances for fitting bearing
-connection between axle and axleflange (splines, teeth?!)
Someone with experience with custom made parts?!

Mounted the rear fenders and one seat +some other stuff.
Also I got the engine running. This is the 903 engine. Later I will revise the Abarth Engine.
Today I mounted the electric Marelli Plex Ignition. The cooling system works fine.
I faced a big problem with the 903 engine, the cylinderblock was leaking cooling water caused by fatique metal
So today I started to disassembly my abarth engine:
The gasket, pistonrings and main and rod bearings are going to be replaced.
Also a bigger hole in the crank will be machined for the fitment to the 600 gearbox.
And the flywheel needs to be drilled another hole to fit this crank.

Nice work! Good luck for the test drive, do you have someone lined up to video it?
Life's too short to drive bad cars.
Yes I will
The car with decals. And first test drive is done! Next time I make a video
That thing looks awesome! It looks like a hoot and a half!
The little Fiat in his new home.
Driving it was fun. It only hesitates a bit when you fully open the throttle. I think it runs too rich, too much fuel injected by the accelerator pump. Adjusted the pump lever from position 2 to 1 (shorter and less amount of fuel), but not tested yet (broken fuel line).
