    Smart Roadster in Canada

I saw this a couple of weeks ago driving along Granville St In Vancouver British Columbia. It was a bit of a shock to see.

It's a little blurry but looks to have european plates - am I right? Very strange to see something like that here. I wonder why someone carted it over.

Yeah it had euro plates. Sorry for the blurryness but I was taking pictures while my mom was driving and she didn't understand instructions like "slow down"

Why, you see a lot of them Cotterik? I didn't think that they were popular cars really.

I saw one at a tech demonstration once. GE was using it as an example of Lexan technology.

Yep, it uses lexan body panels.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Indeed. I'd say I see one every two days or so.. The plates on this one seem to be German, likely from Stuttgart (first letter S ?), the hometown of Mercedes. Perhaps indeed a show model or something from the company ?

Well the blurryness adds a sense of speed... Looks like you were racing him or something. Looks better than the smart car coupe or cabriolet at least.

As for the plates I see all kinds of euro plates where I live like German etc. I guess its because soldiers stationed in Europe buy cars and then get stationed back here in Canada so they bring their cars along. Looks funny to see a euro plate on the front and a regular license plate from our province on the back.

Another strange car I seen vacationing here had a Montana plate on the front and a California plate on the back.

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you.

The Roadster, Roadster-Coupe and Forfour have all been discontinued due to a lack of sales.

Congratulations on being the third person to note they are European plates. You've won a big bag of air !
