The Khamsin was introduced on the Bertone stand at the November 1972 Turin Auto Show. Designed by Marcello Gandini, it was Bertone's first work for Maserati.
I updated the thread title with years 1972-1982 as the life cycle of this model started with this prototype in 1972 and first production model was ready in 1973, so we can keep all of them in one thread
