There's a lot of Prius and Camry Hybrid cabs popping up here now.

The cops have been testing Subarus, apparently. In the mid 90s, they wanted Volvo 850Rs, but Volvo wouldn't do a stripped out version for them, and the cops didn't want to pay full cost.

The first time I saw one I thought they were so ugly it seared my retinas. That was before I knew they were purpose built for wheelchair and electric scooter ready.

Once I knew, it wasn't so bad.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Camry hybrids. I miss the Crown Victoria, I see less of them now.

I hope they go for the Subaru stick shift ones, because the the CVT ones are terrible.

Who would ever stay in Hartford?! IS the PD super-loaded there orrrrr?

Vics persist strongly with Toronto Police Service. Explorers and Taurii are becoming more common, however. The Provincial Police are holding on to their tired old Vics yet; Peel Region Police (just west of Toronto) roll almost exclusively in shiny new Chargers, as they are built there. So ya gotta keep a lookout for various different lighting patterns these days.

In NYC I still see a lot of Crown Victorias as police cars and taxis, but that's diminished in the last few years.

I actually enjoy seeing some of the NYC Courts police vehicles, they have new the Dodge Charger and Chevy SS.

Well, the Ford Falcon is kaput for sure now.

    Anyone watching the Bathurst 1000?

I did not watch the Bathurst race, but Fords lost it on their own didn't they? One of the Falcons had a big crash.

Anyway, rest in peace Ford Falcon.

They were displaced by fuel loads and safety car shenannigans, it was pretty much the Holden show with one shining beacon of Volvo in there.. until it tangled with a pair of Holdens.

At least that's what they did in NYC.
I see a lot of Ford Explorers lately.

Whenever I'm watching AFL games I tend to notice ads for Toyota hybrids.
