Machine work can get expensive, looks like your making progress though Blue, always check everything twice from measurements to torqing up bolts etc, a little extra time can save big dollars and heart ache if you forget something.

Also like the idea of the sr when it happens but you will have a ball with the car anyway. As you progress so can the car, I still have time to find in my bus

    Cheers

Cheers mate, im reading like a madman and learning a stupid amount of stuff which is awesome. Daily busride gives me an hours reading time a day Im trying to be careful with everything but of course I go "how hard can it be" and go ahead and then read and go "oh... shouldnt have done that that way " but its all good.

So I spent half an hour "milling" yesterday with good results. Obviously coated the shininess in WD so it doesnt start rusting on me.
I also set up my engine stand, was hoping to move the block onto it so i could start the deck side but oh no... Stupid gearbox bolts are shorter then the mounting points... So ill be taking them off (the mounts) chucking them in a vice and cutting them down toa usable level...

Sound good Blue, SA is the mecca of Dattos mate, should have taken you up to my guys workshop. Most of the SA builders are pretty good and dont talk shit about how good they are how much their services will cost Sadly the same cant be said about some of the eastern seaboard engine builders/engineers
