    Car ID help

Hey guys. Long time, no post from myself but one of my coworkers took a picture of a car that he couldn't identify. Since I'm our resident car expert at my job, he came to me to help ID it. I'm stumped as well as one of my other coworkers so I'm turning to this larger collective of better experts. I think it's French but I'm not even sure about that.

Wow, that is a weird one.

You know, I'm inclined to say it's a homebuilt kit car, but hey, what do I know.

Is this the only angle of the car? Any engine/drivetrain/underbody shots?

Well it turns out that photo wasn't taken by my co-worker. He just found it online and saved it to his phone without doing any digging of his own. A Facebook comment turned up this link so mystery solved! It's a lot older than I thought it was

Wow, definitely older than I expected too.

The description from the museum is good, although there are historical inaccuracies in the description. The US Air Force didn't exist until after WWII, so that museum blurb isn't quite right. The car was built for a WWI general, and he died right before WWII started.

I also wonder what they mean exactly by airplane style suspension.

    Cool find.
