Holden Commodore VFII; The Quickest, Most Powerful, Most Advanced Commodore Ever

"Commodore VFII V8 models boast new, more powerful 6.2-litre LS3 engine, Bi-modal exhaust and mechanical sound enhancer standard on all V8 sports models, Front and rear Brembo brakes standard for top of the range SS V Redline.

The 2016 Commodore VFII is equipped with the powerful LS3 6.2-litre V8 engine and delivers 304kW of power and an exhilarating 570Nm of torque, ensuring that this is the quickest Commodore ever."

    Fair swansong I guess.

The end of an era, certainly.

I'll hang a goon bag from the clothes line and let it pour out as tribute.

Has there been an announcement yet about the next Commodore or successor?

I thought they were canceling them? The Ford Falcon is gone too.

The Holden will probably be replaced by a Commodore-badged Impala and Ford will probably take the Taurus to Australia and call it a day.

I'm kind of glad they brought it over as the Chevy SS (and as police cars, because they look like badass police cars). The Courts all use them as patrol cars, and boy they look way better than the bloated Tauruses. They look cool too, but from behind they just don't look right.

I just wish they weren't throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Besides, Australia Super Cars won't be the same without them. Sure you have Nissan with whatever they have, and maybe Volvo too (?), but it's the history that counts.

Now it's the profits that counts.

I imagine the Commode will be replaced with the Opeth Insignia while Ferd gets the Mondeo in for the Falcon. Anyone who wants something bigger will be served with an SUV, while the V8 fans can have a Camaro or Mustang.

Volvo is out of the Supertaxies, along with Merc. Not sure what Holden and Ferd are planning, but Ferd's not talking anything much up in that department. I'd personally love for them to move to a full GT3/GT4 spec field, but that would probably be deemed too expensive and the bogans would complain about no Holdens in the field.

    Look at that Senator!

On the other hand, aren't the Insignondeo a little bit small for someone who drives a Falcondore?

The generic Falcodore driver buys them second hand, so.. they'll take what they're given.

Get Ford Escapes, Nissan NV200s, Altimas, Toyota Priuses, and Avalons.

At least that's what they did in NYC.
