View Full Version : The last car you'll ever drive.

Just for the sake of arguement, let's say you could only have one car for the rest of your life starting now, or when you get your license. You'd have to use it as a daily driver for the rest of your life, so it has to be street legal, and it'd probably be a good idea not to pick a stripped out race car. I really don't think your wife/husband/kids would like riding in a car with 5 point harnesses and straight pipes. (If you know any single females, 18-21, in eastern Pennsylvania, that are like that please give them my number. Bonus points if they're VAG enthusiasts. :) )

What would you pick as the last car you'd ever own? Something economical? Sports sedan? Minivan or SUV?

I'd definitely be seen rockin' one of these...

B5 Audi S4 Avant, nogaro blue...

...with a full Abt Tuning widebody kit (CF hood not included)...

...rolling on a set of 19x9" BBS CH's...

...and an upgraded snail with a big FMIC painted flat black behind the front bumper.

Remember, it's going to be buried with you. Make it count. :)

How about a BMW 535d with a higher flowing air filter, larger radiator, and to complement the higher air flow I would get a larger high flow exhaust. I would also put in a chip and I would beef up the transmission to handle all the extra power and torque.

One of them would be nice, slip on a vortec supercharger and theres an easy 700hp there done right. I'd get the suspension worked though, lower/stiffer springs with adustable koni's as well as some better tyres, the standard Dunlop's are pretty crap

you dont think maybe it was a comment towards all the mazdasport this, greddy that, ad everything labelled as RX-8. fine, some parts are RX-8 exclusive, but that doesnt make them the best on the market or anything

Now what exactly is the question: Is it about the last car you can drive before quitting driving? Or is it the last car you would want to drive after all other options have been exhausted? In the latter case my choice would be, how surprising, the BMW X-5.
In the first case it would be a Ferrari 330GTC or a Citroen SM

BMW X-5 is indeed a very cool car and my uncle used to have it now he owes BMW X-3

I'd wait for the upcoming RS6. For me it's more practical than a M5 cause of the quattro.
The M5 might have some probs climbing a snowy street on the way to my wintersport residence. :D

Other choice would be a SLR.

You fully failed to understand what I was saying. I would avoid at any cost to have to drive an X5 or an X3

RS6
06-18-2005, 07:55 AM
Thinking about the criteria, the RS6 or new RS4 would get my vote. It would probably be the new RS4 due to it's high-revving V8 and manual gearbox.

But, if I didn't have any family and such to worry about, probably something with a bit more flair. Probably a Duesenberg SSJ LaGrande Roadster, A Citroen SM, a Jaguar E-Type or of course the Audi Sport Quattro.

I'll wait for the upcoming RS6, but for now i'll take the RS4.
