I have just found this site. I am over 72 and remember Gianpiero Moretti with great fondness. He was friendly to many of us and many of us enjoyed his self cooked spaghetti meals at the Daytona 24 Hour and other venues. I was so very happy to watch the MoMo victory at Daytona. Afterwards a group of us joined the crew in a celebration. He was more composed than I expected but VERY pleased with finally achieving victory. I miss him as I miss so many other racing friends. I am still stunned by the loss of Bob Snodgrass of Brumos. He and I would have some of the most ridiculous arguments (In a friendly way) mainly to confuse those we were with at the time. My introduction to motor sport came when delayed in Germany for an engine change and was talked into going to the F1 race at the (Old) Nurbergring which hooked me completely. I look forward to reading about races I saw in F1, Prototype, Endurance Can Am and such that I loved and found many other pilots involved.
