All the really cheap cars are ass ugly. Why?

That's as much of a coupe as a Mercedes CLS.
(Which is to say that it's not at all a coupe, not even slightly)

No, it really doesn't. If you're a fan of deductive logic, pay attention:
Premise A: Any car with 4 full-size doors not a coupe
Premise B: The Mercedes CLS has 4 full-size doors
Conclusion: Duh.
It doesn't make an attempt at all to be a coupe. The only attempts at making it a coupe were done by Mercedes' marketing department.
Everyone knows that it is NOT a coupe, but it is a 4 door trying to be one, in terms of body shape, no?

The point I'm trying to make is that you can absolutely not have a coupe with four full-size doors, so the body shape is irrelevent. If you have a dog that looks like a cat, it's still a dog. This is because "looking like a cat" isn't what defines what a cat is.
Maybe they're "trying" to be a coupe, but if they were doing an assignment for their coupe-building 101 class, they would've gotten an F- grade. :p
(And then the professor would've written 4 ≠ 2 in big red letters) ;)
Edit: I'd like to note that I don't necessarily disagree with the use of the term "4-door coupe", but I do when it involves 4 full-size doors. I consider the Mazda RX-8 to be a 4-door coupe.
I see it as more of an abstract thing. A four door will never be a coupe, but it can certainly act like one. If it had two doors there would be no need to 'attempt', because it would BE a coupe (a dog doesn't attempt to be a dog, it just IS a dog). That's why I said the CLS makes an attempt, inferring it doesn't succeed.

Yeah, I think we both realise that all this time we've actually been agreeing, it's just the conceptual view of it we don't agree on. You say that it's not a coupe but is attempting to be one, while I say it can't even get away with justifying an "attempt" because it fails what is essentially the only requirement of being a coupe.
I suppose the important part is that we're both sane enough not to believe the claims made by Mercedes' PR department. :)
