New Subaru Tribeca
OK, now it looks like a cross between the Forester and the Toyota RAV-4, but at least passing pedestrians won't try to gouge their eyes out as you pass now.
Coming in 2008.

The new one looks wayyyyy better. ;)

An improvement but they still have a long way to go.

I prefer the old one, at least there's something to describe it, it's UGLY, at least it leaves an impression, at least it inflicts some emotion, at least it wouldn't blend into the back ground.
New one? What Hyundai Trybeka ? Or KIA SeeArVee ? Daewoo Ar-Ay-Vee ?
I think that the new one is a bit bland too. The old one was ugly, but I don't know which is actually worse, to be ugly or to be nothing. And I preferred the rear of the old one, it was different without really even being ugly.

That thread you linked to is about the old Tribeca...
I agree. Is ugly with style worse than...bland?
-
That thread, if you scroll down, has the press release and hi-res photos of both the old and new Tribeca. for comparison.

That's what I wonder too, has it been an improvement?

Looks too high for its length; hence it looks awkwardly squished to my eyes.
Improvement, no. I kind of like the current Tribeca, at least as much as I like new cars.
