Mercedes Benz SLK, this car was spin for the small roadster to see if it’s as fun as it looks. More details and experience soon about this elegant car. :p

I certainly wouldn't say beauty. Distinct, maybe.
Exactly, where's the beauty? And where's the excitement?

and what's the point of these threads?
and what's the point of these threads?
To discuss the SLK perhaps?
I'd say don't go for it. There other better options. Except of it's the AMG. Then maybe.

In this case, maybe the point was to discuss the SLK, but perhaps creating a thread when you were to discuss the car was better than "teasing" us with a in-line image and two lines of text.
the arguments of his threads are fine, it's the way the are done, superficially, for the sake of doing something.

Well yes I agree with that. But this is better than no thread at all I think.
As Ferrer and I have discussed before on these boards - why would you want a sportscar from Mercedes? There are other makers with better sportscars with the same degree of luxury (Porsche, BMW). Mercedes makes great luxury cars - they do not make great sportscars.
Then again, maybe if I drove an AMG and power slid around corners my mind would change...

I think that the AMG is an "engine car". What I mean is that it is pretty average, but the engine sits in the mix like a litre of vodka in a glass with a bit of orange juice.
A shame that it's an auto.
A shame that it's an auto.
Not really - it's not a true enthusiast car anyways as far as I'm concerned.
What's the old saying... A rich German man gives his wife an SL, himself drives and S, and has an SLK for his mistress?
Bingo.

I agree. But that engine...
Which why I'd probably have it in a C or a CLK.
What IS the true enthusiast?
Is it a male purista who deliberately optioned 'heater delete' for their open-topped Clubman, then gleefully drives it around in a snowstorm?
Pass...

No.
But why would you want a sportscar that doesn't perform like one?
I like big Merc coupes, they are excellent. But a Merc sportscar doesn't make much sense. At least not until they make a proper one again.

Maybe the new gullwinged one?

I'm certainly not holding my breath... :(
