Must be that time of the year, Everyone is getting LCD's:D..
After 12 long and seversable years of being treated like shit!, Our trusty old Samsung 68cm TV is loosing it's battle, I'm afraid it's slowly slipping away to the place with all the other dead TV's:(.
But!, What to do?, Go for the Samsung 40" LCD 1080p which in a package deal tosses in the Blue Ray player from Samsung free?, Or buy a dirty big 80cm CRT for $500?.

We got it:D...
What is amazing is how normal TV is now viewed in HD!, Better quality it seems then watching a DVD..
Our free 2 air stations give us a few HD channels, They run up too 1080i..
When the Blu-Ray player arrives I'm dyeing too see 1080p on blu-ray disc:).

11 hours of Scottish twisty roads in 18 hours ... needed something and can't stand the taste of RB.
Oversized is quite expensive. $2.50 a can :(
$3.69 here in Florida, major rip-off... I can get a meal at Mcdonalds for that price.
$3.69 here in Florida, major rip-off... I can get a meal at Mcdonalds for that price.
considering that here in Italy at the supermarket the standard one costs 1,15 euro --> 1,8 dollars...and for a complete menu at mcdonalds I need 6 euro...I guess you all read the story about the Corvette ZR1 european price...
Just booked spots at 2 trackdays, doing a weekend double header down in Victoria.
HD on TV is amazing quality, Makes DVD's look shit!.
This is only 1080i HD Free to air channel, Max our channels do now.
Haven't received my blu ray player yet:(. Can't wait to see 1080p!.
But much love for HD channels:).

I've never really noticed a huge difference. TBH. but we have crap reception round my parts so if you want clear TV at all you need HD.
As for the Trackday 2ndCC. cooooooool.
This is only 1080i HD Free to air channel, Max our channels do now.
No one broadcasts progressive scan.
I've never really noticed a huge difference. TBH. but we have crap reception round my parts so if you want clear TV at all you need HD.

Same here, Our reception is bad, If it rains say good night to 7-10..
But with HD amazing picture and sound.. I was like, Big ****en deal HD BS!..
That changed:D.
No one broadcasts progressive scan.
Will they ever?,
I guess 1080i is good enough, Makes everything else look bad.
Will they ever?
No. Progressive scan isn't designed for broadcast. Interlacing uses half the bandwidth.
No. Progressive scan isn't designed for broadcast. Interlacing uses half the bandwidth.
That's ok, It's 5 times better then anything we see on tv anyway.
I like to watch the picture now, And i can see reflections like never before:D, Glass looks crystal clear, And people look more 3D, Sometimes it's to much to watch at once.
Some US channel do use 720P....
Really? It's probably pretty close to 1080i in bandwidth terms. All depends on what else they broadcast really. The problem is that stations have to broadcast SD, analog, EPGs, captions, ARC etc etc, all of which takes up bandwidth. Dropping analog will help, but here is Australia at least, stations are more interested in multicasting with that extra bandwidth rather than going higher than 1080i.

America is supposed to go entirely digital in television by February 2009.
Did they feed that to the Incredible H?
Yep. Then he proceeded to have 400 babies.

$59 from Office works, Bargain and a half, Needed ink and this was cheaper:D.

Its just ridiculous the whole thing with ink prices. Completely crazy!
The Bulldogs could win the premiership. I'm posting this on my new LG U990 phone.
Its just ridiculous the whole thing with ink prices. Completely crazy!
I know mate, Got a guy off ebay that sells great quality none originals, But even he couldn't beat this price:D..
The Bulldogs could win the premiership. I'm posting this on my new LG U990 phone.
If they do, I'll be in party mode for 12 months:p.
I might even cry:o.
yep, unless you really are in to high quality photo prints, the way to go now is buy a good deal and then run it on refill ink until either another brilliant deal comes along or the refills cause a blockage/failure and then replace.
You'd have to be mad to pay $30-40 for printer carrtidges
Yep it's a rip off, And they could compete better for prices, And makes us buy them that way.
For 15c i can get 4x6 prints, I much rather doing it that way..
I think my old printer clogged up:p.

You have to remember that with a new printer you're not going to get much ink. At least in America it's like that.. the printers we sell just have a starter pack of cartridges.
A Pulse Peripherals cooler/control centre for my 360 so I can have HDMI, which is feeding 1080p down a Belkin PureAV HDMI cable into a Samsung Series 5 32" 1080p LCD. Bewidiful. Just gotta wait for the ****er to be delivered. Only $1200 as well.
Thats a pretty decent deal actually. Kudos.

Please tell me what 1080p is like, Samsung could take there time:rolleyes:.
America is supposed to go entirely digital in television by February 2009.
I'm (actually my father) is still keeping our CRTs. It's way cheaper to get a converter box than to buy a completely new TV. It's retarded. Plus there's the coupons from the government. Only issue is, it's going to waste another spot for the DVD/Blu Ray player/whatever new electronic we're going to buy.
Yep same here, About 60% full:(.. Cheap skates, What happen to the days of, You get the glass full not half empty:p.

I'll let you know some point this week when it shows up, Harvey Norman has them on back order. Plus, it's all contingent on this backplate-control centre thingy for the 360 doing what it says it does.

They were saying, We might be in a retail recession , You would think they would have heaps out the back:p.
You will defiantly be getting it before me, So far, Samsung says, Invoice hasn't arrived as yet:(.

Quite a bargain for $40
I'll let you know some point this week when it shows up, Harvey Norman has them on back order. Plus, it's all contingent on this backplate-control centre thingy for the 360 doing what it says it does.
On a 32" screen, you won't notice the difference between 720 and 1080 unless you're obnoxiously close to the screen.
Well it won't matter because the backing plate won't fit my 360 so it's going back. And I am quite close to the screen anyway.
Nokia N95 8GB:
- 5-megapixel camera, GPS, 8GB flash memory, WiFi...the lot!
+ A Web'n'Walk package. The USB stick for my laptop grants Broadband anywhere where there's a 3G signal. EPIC!
Good choice, C.
Has only crashed once on me in the last year and at the time I was trying to make a call via BLueTooth while it was retrieving e-mail, doing sat-nav directions and running the SPortTracker app. Only fair I reckoned :)
I have to say the Australian models have proven themselves rather unreliable - I see many returned at my store with horror stories.
To be fair, however, most Australians demand far too much in Rigidity from their phones. and for future reference, concrete dust is like Kryptonite to N95 sliding mechanisms.
As for latest purchases,
