Good luck with the kit ... looks like it'll be a lot of fun.
Keep us posted. :)
My friend's building something similar to you too, he has a Locust 7 in progress..... man, the "7" replicas, great cars to make yourself.

Do you know the company that make it? Ask your mate.
oh.... there's really no "Company", its basically name of the car that you make yourself, he has a book on them..... the book's name is "Build your own race car for under $20,000 Cdn" and the book describes the building process of a 7 replica, and the author calls this particular model the "Locust 7". I dunno, I guess you can call it the same name as any other 7 replicas......
Oh yeah i have that book, i didn't fancy welding up my own chassis.
haha yah....... he's spent 6 months already and so far he only has the front section and part of the engine stand :p
oops..... my comp double posted for sum reason..
My point exactly.

This is why it is sooo cheap to buy part-built Locosts :)
Lots of folks get part way through and decide it's too long or too much hassle.
Friends building another pure track car for his son using a Locost chassis complete except for engine mounts and all the running gear - 200 quid :)
Worth checking local papers, especially the free ones and even eBay :)
Lots in the UK anyway :) :)
i like that and with the 1.1 in it as you say i would imagine tht it will be quite fast, what does it weigh?
i like it suka :D
I am now starting a new car build. The car is called a Luego Velocity, I will get it on the 5th of June. I have a 1.1 kent out of a Ford Sierra, this is very insurance friendly and it is a light car so it still has speed. As you can probably tell it is my first car. I have a website for my new build!
how much is the insurance for a libra like your dads?
take it that you have just passed your test then is this is your first car WELL DONE if that is true :D
No I am 15! My Dad pays around £280 on the Libra, the Luego will cost me about £900.
