Lovely color, has it been dropped? Looks damn low.

Very nice, 6'bore. Great stance and eye appeal. :)
Reading Evo pretty much guarantee you want a Clio Cup....so yes, I want one....:D
In terms of power to weight ratio a Peugeot 206 RC (MY 2004) comes close with 177 hp and a curb weight of 1.059 kg. There are not may affordable and (somewhat) practical cars which reach those figures.
I also like the Clio Sport phase III with 197 hp engine, but combined to your model it is almost a heavy weight, with kurb weight of 1.240 kg.
Don't worry about the Fase 3, it never had 197 hp. It had the same 182 as this one.
By the way, congrats, drove one a couple of years ago, brilliant :) smile on your face car!
2006-2009 Renault Clio = phase III has the 197 hp engine, no?
Great choice! Congratulations on your new ride. Maybe a little test drive? ;)

It should, but it didn't. Some buyers over here complained and a couple of Auto Mags took some to the dino and they all came up with 182hp.
Nice car. Shame it's not available in the states.

+1 were they available in Canada? You'd have a shot at importing one.

Not a chance. St. Pierre and Miquelon maybe...
But that is France...
(I only know because C&D tried to drive a CX up to there, but it was denied entry)

Yes, that is what brought it to mind. Those islands are not spoken of much west of the Maritimes, but Newfoundlanders make trips there sometimes.

Ah OK, now I understand your point. I was only referring to the power output of manufacturer.
Honestly I am not that much into Renault's actual power output figures. It is a bit of a letdown though as the 2006-2009 model weighs 230 kg more.
It comes as no surprise though as other manufacturers have the same issue. Manufacturer's figure is not always without doubt. Most of the times engines deliver less power, sometimes a little more.
Few examples (average measures) for Alfa Romeo:
147 2.0 TS - 150 hp > 146 hp (-4 hp)
GT 2.0 JTS 16v - 166 hp > 140 hp (-16 hp)
MiTo 1.4 16v T-Jet - 155 hp > 160 hp (+5 hp)
Mito QV - 170 hp > 163 hp (-7 hp)
I remember some British luxury cars were really far off versus the actual output as well.
Cheers for the comments guys!
The car is lowered on bilstein coilovers and the exhaust is a full custom system with a sports cat.
Recently fitted an RS2 manifold, which is basically a different induction setup. Had it rolling roaded and it came up at 197bhp but it isn't yet mapped properly so I'm hoping for over 200 with decent mapping.
And in the summer I shall be purchasing a different car at which point I will take the Clio off road, strip it and supercharge it for track use. Looking for in the region of 300bhp which is easily achievable.

That would be wicked!
