The thing is this special editions probably have a higher margin than regular models...
Yeah but if the only difference is a bunch of stickers then you'd be crazy to do it.
Buy the cheaper stock one in the right colour and $50 of stickers and bingo :)

Ah yes, but if costumers are stupid enough to pay (probably) several thousand for some 50p stickers, then GM is doing well to benefit from it... :)
I was thinking the other way.
THat they can't afford to be as gullible in the past adn will have seen the residual prices of sports cars plummet adn want the thrill without the $$$$.
Then add the stickers and in 25 years time they can sell it as "original" at Barret-Jackson :)
Or more likely, turn their back on GM recoginsing a despserate attempt to rip-em-off :)
Knowing that in 3 years time they'll be worth no more than any other 'vette as the market is full of $50 stickers on old cars :)
