Good news... sounds like the movement had at least some sucess. It seems like we we aren't the only people who dislike what Lindner & Richter are doing.

^^^ you got us some links to read more ? Hard "browsing" German sites as I'm nto that good reading :)
Seems like there is at least one good message about the Nürburgring: the old paddock will be reopened to the public in March ;). According to the article, it is the oldest unchanged one in the world.
^^^ Didn't realise they'd stopped folks going into the old paddock. THAT was crazy, you can feel the history standing in it !!!!
What's the political opposition saying in Germany about the Nurburgring case?
Are they for, or against the current administrators?.
And when is there elections again?
Maybe we motorsports fans should start doing some lobbying ;)
Now there's even MORE fallout that they're wanting tax payers to pay for ...
More public money needed to fund ring°card company.
The card system is needing 30M euros to cover it's costs.
THe card is THE stupidist system on the planet you ahve to have their card to buy anything - even a $1 coke.
They have staff wandering around all the locations to allow you to buy cards - for some reason you cant buy a card at a store !
It was OBVIOUS it was an unworkable solution and they even used it to move folks to eat/stay at their own places.
Was bordering on blackmail !!!!
Now it turns out it was losing lots of money :(
If you know anyone who pays German taxes then contact them on this and get them to write to their own political represetnative at local and national level to have this nonsense stopped.

The whole Eifel region is opposed to those idiots because they are the ones that suffer the most. I hope that they will influence our government to do something... well, at least it seem like the politicians HAVE to do something because the EU want's to see some profit- which the Ring currently isn't making.
The more I find out the more I am sure these two and their partners should be jailed for fraud and monopolist practices !!
52 years of tradition ended :(
Scuderia Hanseat has to cancel their Spring course - for the first time since 52 years.
Scuderia Hanseat was founded by well known motorsport personas 52 years ago. The list of instructors reads like a who-is-who of motorsport: Edgar Barth, Graf de Beaufort, Richard von Frankenberg, Paul Frère, Helm Glöckler, Hans Herrmann, Stirling Moss, the legendary Hans Stuck, Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips – to name only a few.
For 52 years has the Scuderia Hanseat organised two major yearly training courses for sports drivers on the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit at the Nurburgring. Every course saw around 300 drivers from 20 nations take part, with many big names from the world of showbiz and business attending, such as the King of Sweden and his son who both attended multiple times.

Glad to see media working as it should... Richter can no longer make unilateral decisions concerning the CST, but when will these slime be indicted? An explaination of why Richter was given the contracts by the state to begin with should be forthcoming. Whenever fraud like this is exposed, the first cracks are usually provided by the auditors (follow the money) but from what I've read, none of the political relationships indicate who would benefit as much as Richter. What prior relationship did he have with Hering?
Minister Hering obviously IS a tool: "We assume the €10M loan will be paid back"?!? And STILL the state will guarantee losses up to €500,000 for this year?!? As the old saying goes: when you assume, you make an ass of u and me.
The bar stewards have used the German courts to have a forum taken down.
( Well given such restrictions that the owner had no choice but to take it down )

Looks like these guys haven't caught up with how the internet works and what happens when you try to silence something. Expect MORE traffic will go to the facebook site now !!
In light of them being bullies, I've decided to write to someone to ask them to investigate it and we'll see. They hopefully are already , but my mum always told me to "ask or you dont get" :)
So lets see of Clarkson, Hammond and May can throw some cultural stereotypes in the direction of these thieves. ( Not holding my breath tho' :) )
BTW, parts 1-4 are good for background viewing by clicking below and going to the YouTube page to watch ... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvHYc4AZIlc"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvHYc4AZIlc[/ame]
Wow. So blogging about this means a court battle... have investigative journalists been threatened as well?
Why is Germany's automotive press silent?!? :(
^ Dont think they are.
Problem is you have to go read in German.
Doesn't look as if the big nationals have taken on as much as petrolhead press might tho'
The TV coverage at least has covered the issues.
Problem is I think it's a lynch-mob that's needed :)
