It's OK that we're not getting the manual, as apparently it's not very good.
Which is somehow more disappointing than not getting a good one.

Manual gearbox IS available in Europe.
It is the right hand drive markets like UK and Australia, that are restricted to automatic option only.
AR just can't be bothered to re-engineer the stick-shift to make it work with RHD cars.

Ah ok.
From what I know, manufacturers need to crash and certify multiple cars per transmission choice, which makes manual transmissions less and less attractive to them.

EDM Veloce version. 210bhp diesel engine or 280bhp petrol engine. Four wheel drive and 8 speed automatic.

And then there's the TI, USDM equivalent to the EDM Veloce, altough it is available with both rear or four wheel drive.
It is also available only with the 280bhp turbo engine (the same as the base Giulia in the US).
