Seeing as both of these cars are disgustingly powerful by 100 times the amount anyone would ever need or use, I base my decision solely on looks, and therefore I take the Viper.

TVRs Forever :)
unfair in the sense that its a one of car that wasn't even originally to be for the public, unless its a different model than the one in EVO but the one in the picture is the one in EVO.
Wrong. TVR were planning on putting the Cerbera Speed 12 into production and selling them off at £120k a pop. However, further production was axed when talks began about Peter Wheeler selling TVR. 5 road legal Cerbera Speed 12s were built for homologation purposes, but 4 were eventually turned into race-cars.
I don't see how only building one gives it an unfair advantage though; it's not like just because they're building one they're allowed to be exempt from all road laws.
I prefer none. I think I like my life too much...
Hennessey Viper Venom 1000TT ;)
TVR.....I love TVR.....and if I'm going to pick a psychotically over-powered undrivable toy, why not :D
Need any more be said?
Viper... Looks and power
64% of the weight
70% of the torque
>95% of the power
and DESIGNED for racing handling and speed.
TVR all the way :D
TVR all the way!
Has to be the TVR.
I like TVR, but the Speed 12 is a piece of crap. The reason the didn't make it was because it was basically undrivable. The viper would win around a track. Hell, a Honda Civic would win around a track because the Speed 12 would be in a flaming heap on some corner.
EDIT: By the way, the only road going Speed 12 (rebuilt from a race version and sold) was recently sold on ebay:

Auction ended on the 16th, too late guys :p

Errrm, you do realise the Speed 12 was designed from day one as a GT racing car?! It's whole raison d'etre is to go round a track damn fast. Yes, it was deemed as too extreme as a road car, but that in no way suggests it's not up to scratch on the track. I suspect it would easily be more of a match for the Viper, although I guess it's a battle nobody's ever likely to see happen.
TVR nevAr losses
There is no doubt that the Cerbera would beat the Viper on all circuits except maybe one which consists mainly of tight, hairpin turns because the TVR uses racing steering and thus the turning circle isn't great. On 99% of circuits, the TVR would completley destroy the Viper. Read the Evo Magazine review of it? Do ... it's pretty much the fastest car they've ever tested.
They never tested this viper.
