ah yeah, the nazi's actually invented the concept by sticking what really was curved pipes on the end of their guns.
Cool concept, but I'm sorry...that video was the cheesiest thing I've ever seen, lol
I'm guessing this tech never really caught on, seems like it would've competed with the OICW and similiar optical systems.
This concept is really old.
Seen this a few years ago.
nice, but strange at the same time... i need to go lay down... my head hurts!
I like it when they go and use it to look under beds.
Corner-shot ... battling the monster under your bed since 2003.

I have another one:
Grenades: battling the monster in the closet since 1939
what happens if some terrorist runs right at you..you have to turn right to shoot him. in other words your buggered. great idea.
And what's more, you've still only got the power of a pistol...good thing they stuck cameras on assault rifles instead, and put the screen on the soldier's helmet.

Then you simply straighten the end attachment. As is shown in the video....
i'd still rather an assault rifle with a camera on it instead
edit: like sackalack said
I've seen an AK-47 version of that too....
i heard the same guy that directed the A-TEAM made that video.

but once you've just started doing that, he's already shot you.

Let's take a step back here...how many times have you heard of a soldier killed when a terrorist ran at them? Unless you're in a movie, the terrorist is just going to wait until he can kill you from a hidden position  So I guess the whole thing is kind of a moot point
