One of my favorite AML... If you have more of it and other Lagonda, ;)
Great photos :)
But a small correction is needed: It's not the David Brown's car. His car had a DBS-like front. It was made in 1969 as Aston Martin Saloon V8 Lagonda MP230/1 (known simply as the MP230/1 among the AML fans). The car above is one of 8 Aston Martin Lagonda V8 Saloons built in 1974-1976.
The MP230/1 is pictured below (on the right).
Yeah, I remember reading his car has a DBS-like front but couldn't find any pictures of it..Thanks for the info Pawel :)
the MP 230-1 is this? (I have others pics but small)

It even has the same numberplate... ;)

Indeed, it's the MP230/1. One of my favourite Astons :)
Meh, I'll take a Wedge Lagonda please, that thing has a piggy face...
I must admit that I saw this thread and thought, "Why is someone making a thread about such an ugly car?" but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the photos. This car is not only light years better looking than the more common Lagonda, but it is plain and simple a very beautiful car. Thanks for making my evening a much better one. :)

Hi to everyone!
this is my first post in this forum and was encouraged (=forced:D) to write by the "very good rules" of this forum!!! Thanks to the administrator of the site!
About this old thread: I need to see some pics of the MP230/1 (the first prototype) becouse I am going to make an 1/43 model of the car. I should like to make with the roof open and I hope to find the right picture.
I am sure that my participation to the forum will continue becouse I have seen that here there are a lot of very well qualified car enthusiast!

welcome aboard, I hope that someone will be able to fulfil your request
No answers no photos!
I try again.
The car in the picture posted by "ribatejo69" may be not the original version.
I have found some old pics in a bookshop in London where the same care (with the same plate) had wire wheels and no opening roof.
Is there anybody who knows when it has been modified?
... and pics!!!
Thanks
Renato

Welcome back, I am afraid I can't help you, never seen one. And b.t.w. they may have used the same numberplate on a different car..
