Why not?
EDIT: RE: development and topping console
as with EVERY console ever - The first few years of development never match the mid to end life range.
So graphics and sounds get better with more time in development - Or did you guys go off on a tangent and forget that?
EDIT2: just saw fiset made this point too.
i just can't play racing games with steering wheels, can't do it. i find the pad more intuitive. i tried GT4 with a steering wheel at chris' house, was rubbish. tried live for speed, was waaaay better than keyboard, but still bad..
wheels are even worse, imo, because they attempt to mimic something familiar but fall so, so short, because you're expecting the same sensation as when you're actually driving, whereas the pad is so unrelated it's easier to correlate with what's happening on screen.
that said, i haven't gone and splooged eleventybillion dollars on some top spec game wheel either. so if there is one out there that provides enough resistance to mimic unassisted steering, i'll consider giving a wheel a go - it's just too weaksauce otherwise
The learning curve is steep, but I find the analog range is much easier to mess around with wheel than trying to play with the RC car sticks or pressing the button harder or lighter....

Bit late for you to hop on the bandwagon, you should have done it years ago.

yeah i know, but i didn't think that Forza and all those other games would be that good! i think its not too late now.

The competition online might be abit of a jump for you :)
But yes, Forza 3 will be interesting. I'm Reading their forums at the moment - Everyone is fighting like children on what features are good/bad.
I have to say - its nice to have a mature forum (in UCP) to discuss things in.
-
Forza 2 was pretty damn awesome, not sure how you missed "thinking" that ;)
No its not too late, but I was pointing out that the bandwagon had arrived, left and gone 20miles down the road.

that is true, i never really stuck with a wheel very long, and there seem to be 20 shit ones for the occaisonal good one. also the trigger button is just as intuitive as a pedal imo
Where the hell's that?
Its going to be a fantacy track - From what I know it will be a narrow coastal track, odds are it will be a point to point race (like a rally stage),
However nothing is set and may well be a full circut.
