I have never seen one of these!
Lies; I see 10-20 thousand per day.
I haven't seen pretty much any...
Gawd these are popular here. And apparently not as good vs. the competitors as they used to be.
Decent looking rig though. If I had to get a compact SUV, I'd probably be looking Rav4 or a Hyundai though.
Compared to the CRV the interior of the Rav4 is cheap feeling.
Are you comparing it to the latest Rav4 that was just released? If now, I'd probably agree as the previous Rav4 was a little cheap and austere feeling. Had some other good qualities though.
I have to say I've read that the interior design of modern Toyotas is a bit lacking, judging by the reviews (RAV4 and Auris, for instance). They've gone all sort of basic and dull.

Yes.
I don't hate on Toyota like many do because they do what cars are meant to: go about and not break. There is nothing wrong with this, or the people that drive them, or the people that love their Toyotas. They are fine cars. However, they are typically dull.
Theyv'e tried to make the new Auris agressive and exciting, but they are not fooling anyone. Once you see the inside it's all classic Toyota. They also have taken the VAG route (torsion beam in the rear at the lower end of the range) but for some reason they haven't been as criticised...
By the way, back on topic, yesterday I saw one of those Hondas!

Because no one expects a Toyota hatchback to be dynamic and interesting to drive in the first place?

Well, people do in Europe... probably.
Also, no one knows what an Auris is, while everyone knows what a Golf is...
